Tutorial: Pink and Black Gothic/Lolita Nails

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

Hey guys,

This is atutorial that I filmed early last year that I never got around to filming. I created this tutorial when I still had my gel nails, which I removed in June so that kinda gives you an idea of how old this tutorial is lol.

This is a really pretty nail design using pink, black and silver to create a contrasting and girly nail design that will get you a lot of compliments from your friends. Sorry the photos in this are so blurry but they were taken with my old camera, they still allow you to get the basic idea of the design

Tutorial: Smokey Silver with a Purple Pop Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

Hey guys, sorry its been so long since I've posted a tutorial but as some of you may know I have been sick the past week or so and haven't been up to doing much of anything except sleeping and attempting to eat, hopefully you understand.

So, while looking through my tutorials recently I saw that I haven't done a silver/grey look in a while. I began playing around with colours and this is the look I came up with.

Tutorial: Electric Teal and Blue Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

Welcome to the first tutorial of the new year. I hope that everyone's holidays were awesome and that you all had a happy and safe Christmas, received all the presents that you asked for and had a happy and save New Year celebration!

I was inspired by my Transformers T-shirt to do something bright blue but still a little bit smokey and this was the look that I came up with.

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This is the final post for my nail foils collection. There has been a lot to go through so I am kind of thankful that I've gotten to the end. All of these foils were purchased by me from Dollar Nail Art. In this post I will be showing you product photos, close up images and brief descriptions of each of the nail foils based on what I think they look like.

If you do not know what nail art foil is or how to use it please follow this link here to my Introduction to Nail Foils post for more information.

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

I received a request for a teal and brown look a while ago and I filmed this little number. Teal is one of my favorite colours and always has been so I really love this look, hopefully you do too

Tutorial: Charcoal and Forest Green Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This is a look that I did on my friend when we went out together to a gig. I thought it was really pretty and would match a nail tutorial that I recorded a few months ago but never got around to posting.

This is a really pretty look that would look nice during either day time or night time, just reduce or add more black.

Palette VS Palette: MAC, Coastal Scents, Unii Palette and Zpalette

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

So as every makeup collector and makeup artist knows, you need good palettes for your collection/kit. Something that will hold all your products and protect them but also minimize the room it take up in storage.

The following is a list of palettes that I have tried in the past and my personal thoughts about them. I am not being paid to write this review and all the palettes I bought myself with my own money. I will be comparing all of these palettes to the MAC palette as I feel that these are the most accessible for most people.

Tutorial: Neutral for the Day Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This is the first real neutral look that I have recorded for my blog/Youtube channel. I am not an expert on wearing neutral colours because I honestly don't wear them all that often, I prefer to express myself through using colour in my makeup.

Tutorial: Sacramento Flash Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

So this is a really sexy look that I wore to a party recently. I wanted something with a red brown so I could make my green eyes pop. I also wanted to use my Club eye shadow again considering I don't use it all that often. I created a really pretty, sexy brown smokey which I was getting a lot of compliments on at this party so I thought I'd post it here for you guys.

Tutorial: Gold and Bronze Arabic Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

So this is a re-recorded look that I've done. I filmed this look on my old camera before I got the new HD one and I just never got around to uploading the old video. So here it is :)

This is a really pretty look to wear out to a party or something similar. You don't have to make it as dramatic as I have, just by lining like normal you can make it less dramatic.

Tutorial: One Off in the Club Look Recreated

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This is a recreation of a look I did when I first started filming makeup tutorials from Youtube, way before I had the HD camera. I really liked this look when I first did it and the quality of the first video wasn't the best, so I decided to refilm it with the new camera.

Tutorial: Volcanic Lust Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

I've always been a fan of duochrome eye shadows, they are my favorite eye shadows to use because they change depending on what colour base you use them with. In this look I have utilized a duochrome eye shadow and eyeliner to create a smokey firey look that would be awesome for someone with blue eyes.

The look reminds me of a documentary on volcanoes that I saw when I was in my Natural an Man-Made Disasters class in high school. It has a similar look to the firey lava flowing down the side of the volcano and solidifying and turning darker as it cools.

Tutorial: Persian Midnight Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

Teal is one of my favorite colours so I felt like creating a nice teal smokey eye one night. This technique that I used is one of the easiest ways to create an awesome looking smokey eye.

Tutorial: Somewhere Over the Rainbow Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

I couldn't decide what colours I wanted to use for my next tutorial. I wanted to do something bright, eye catching and fun. So this is the look I came up with.

This is a bright fun look which can be worn anytime of the day, although I wouldn't recommend wearing it to work (unless you work with kids, then this would be awesome to wear lol).

Tutorial: Sunset at the Beach Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This look is a really good example of the way that complimentary colours can look good together. I used a copper and gold look on the eyelid and then a purple-blue on the lower lash line. This works well because orange (copper) and blue are complimentary, and yellow (gold) and purple are complimentary also.

This is a pretty awesome look to try when you want to do something a little more dramatic and fun on a weekend out. You could also maybe pass this off as an Egyptian look if you made the eyeliner a little more dramatic.

Tutorial: Pop That Neutral Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

The classic neutral, everyday look is one that every makeup wearer has pulled off at one point or another, be it on a daily basis or just on occasion. This tutorial is a good way to create a slightly more dramatic look to this by simply adding a contrasting colour to your lower lash line.

Any makeup wearer should know their basic colour theory, all you have to do is look at a colour wheel (I have included a colour wheel below as a reference), and the best way to make your eyes really stand out is to use a contrasting colour. For me having green eyes, the contrasting colour is red. Now red isn't exactly a colour that can be easily found in an eye shadow. The reason for that is because the pigment used to create the red colour can create an allergic reaction with some people when it comes in contact with the eye area. For me that isn't a problem, but that being said DO NOT attempt to wear red makeup products on your lower lash line because your eyes will water like crazy!

Tutorial: Cold and Icey Blues Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

I know what you guys are thinking "YAY! Finally a new tutorial!" I had a few troubles with my editing software recently because I bought a new computer and the settings that I had for Youtube in the program on my old computer wouldn't work. I finally fixed up the problem and now I have heaps of tutorials to post soon for your viewing pleasure.

This is a look that I wore a while ago when I went and saw "Eclipse" with a friend. I recorded it the day after seeing the movie but because of the software problem, I wasn't able to edit it until now.

Nail of the Day - June 3rd, 2010

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

So, it is officially my 21st birthday in 35 minutes and these are the nails that I have decided to wear for the day. As most of you probably know by now, my favorite colours are teal, purple and orange (weird combo I know), so I decided to use a teal colour as the background of my manicure.

Being that I am turning 21 and I don't feel like I deserve it, and I am still a big kid at heart (I have actually been watching old Disney cartoons for the past three days), I wanted to add something to the nails that was a little immature and kind of girly. I had seen a blog post made by FAB UR NAILS a while ago that I really loved and the colour I used for the manicure inspired me.

This is the finished nail look:

Tutorial: Copper and Purple Smokey Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

This is a look that I created that was inspired by the nail tutorial in my previous post. It is just a really pretty purple and copper look which is really smokey and dramatic.

This look obviously wouldn't be an everyday wear look, and I wouldn't pass it off as that (although I would wear this any time).

Tutorial: Blue Smokey Look with Pink Reflects Revisited

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

So, as you guys can probably tell already, I'm not very happy with my earlier videos before I got my new camera and before I set up a better place for me to film, so I have slowly been re-filming my older tutorials and just posting them randomly when I don't have any others to show you guys.

This one is a re-do of a look that was my favorite at the time that I did it. Normally I don't wear a lot of blue eye shadows and that but I really thought that using a pink reflect worked really well with it.

The original look looked like this:

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. It's really crap, bad liner, you can't even see my lashes and its not very well blended.

Below is the new revamped look.
