Nail Art Foil Collection: Silver

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

The next installment in my nail foil series is the silvers. These foils were all bought by me from Dollar Nail Art with my own money. In this post I will be providing product photos, close up photos and also a breif description of what they look like to me.

If you do not know what nail art foil is or how to use it please follow this link here to my Introduction to Nail Foils post for more information.

 Silver:
Silver foil is the most reflective and high shine foil out of all my foils. The surface resembles a mirror and you can actually see your reflection in the surface of the foil. This was a really difficult one to get a photo of because it wanted to reflect my camera and its flash so the close up image is slightly blurred, but you can still see the colour fairly true to form. There is no pattern to this foil it is just a solid colour.

Smokey Silver:
Like Silver, Smokey Silver is a mirror-like, high shine foil that likes to reflect everything. It is a slightly darker silver than that of Silver foil, hence the name Smokey Silver. There is no pattern to this foil, it is just a solid colour.

Silver Spectrum:
Silver Spectrum is exactly like the foil Gold Spectrum only it has a silver base instead of a gold one. This foil likes to create a rainbow holographic effect on the nail. When applied to the nail it give s a flashing lightbeam effect along the length of the nail.

Silver Dots:
Silver Dots is a light silver based foil with a dotted pattern along the entire length of the foil. These dots reflect a rainbow holographic effect depending on how the light hits it. This foil takes on a glitter like appearence when applied to the nail. To see this foil in use, please follow the link here to tartofraises1‬‎'s blog post.

Disco Ball:
Disco ball is very similar in colour and pattern to Silver Dots only the dots in this foil are more oval shaped. They still give off the same rainbow holographic effect and the glitter-like appearence on the nail that Silver Dots does. There is no point in purchasing both of these foils as they are so similar and I would personally go for the Silver Dots because it gives off more of that gorgeous holographic rainbow reflect.

Fiber Optics:
Fiber Optics is very similar to the nail foil Green Lightbeams. This foil has a light silver base to it with lightbeams of rainbow holographic awesomeness running along the length of the foil. When the light hits this foil, it gives off more of a rainbow reflect than Green Lightbeams because it reflects the WHOLE rainbow not just the cooler tones of it.

Silver Starburst:
Silver Starburst, as the nail suggests, is ver similar to Blue Starburst except it has a light silver base to it. The starburst pattern on this foil reflects a rainbow holographic effect to the nail depending on how the light hits it. This foil would be really nice for a Christmas or Winter based nail art design.

Silver Crush:
Like Gold Crush or Diamond Red, this foil has a crushed tile pattern along the entire length of the nail with a light silver base. The tiles in this foil reflect a multicoloured holographic rainbow of awesomeness on the nail that is really eye catching in the sunlight.

Fifth Avenue:
Fifth Avenue is a gunmetal grey based foil with light silver cross-hatching along the entire length of the foil. This is a matte foil and doesn't have the same sort of reflective qualities that the other silver foils have. It is a very conservative foil and kind of reminds me of a pattern you would see in a business suit or something similar.

Florentine Marble:
Florentine Marble is very similar to its gold equivalent Roman Marble. This highly reflective light silver based foil has shiney black marbling throughout it creating a smokey effect. This is one of my favorite foils.
