Tutorial: Hello Kitty Revisited

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

Like most MAC addicts and the makeup obsessed, the Hello Kitty Collection that came out at MAC in 2009 was one of my favorite collections of all time. I did do a look using one of the palettes on my old channel but when I deleted it I decided to do a better look using more than one palette.

I have included a list of products that I feel would easily be able to to dupe colours from the collection if you weren't able to get your hands on it when it came out.

EYES:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Rollickin' paint pot (limited edition: the Fafi Collection )
- Too Dolly eye shadow (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection - Too Dolly quad)
- Romping eye shadow (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection - Too Dolly quad)
- Stylin' eye shadow (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection - Lucky Tom quad)
- Stately Black eye shadow (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection - Too Dolly quad)
- Paradisco eye shadow (available in the regular MAC line but was bought with the Hello Kitty Collection - Lucky Tom quad)
- Vanilla eye shadow
- Creme Royal eye shadow (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection - Lucky Tom quad)
- Smolder eyeliner
- Prestige liquid liner in black
- "Hello Kitty" lashes (limited edition: Hello Kitty Collection)

CHEEKS:
- Costal Scents 10 blush palette

LIPS:
- Inglot #31 (soft raspberry pink) lipstick
- Sportsgirl "No Cerfew" lipgloss

The following is a list of dupes for all of the colours used in the tutorial other than the ones available in the regular MAC line

Too Dolly Quad:
Yogurt eye shadow (not used in this look but I'll include it anyway) - in regular line
Too Dolly eye shadow - Aquadisiac eye shadow
Romping eye shadow - Post Haste eye shadow (although it is a different finish, it will give a similar effect)
Stately Black eye shadow - Black Tied eye shadow + Contrast eye shadow

Lucky Tom Quad:
Creme Royal eye shadow - Ricepaper eye shadow
Paradisco eye shadow - in the regular line
Stylin' eye shadow - Parfait Amour eye shadow (if you have Climate Blue eye shadow from either the Cool Heat or Dame Edna collections that would work well too)
Lucky Tom eye shadow - Espresso eye shadow (same colour, minus the gold shimmer)

As I explained in the video, I really hated the lashes from the collection. Not just the fact that the lash bad was really thick which made it hard to get a clean adhesion along the lash line, but they are not the most unique lashes. If you want a cheaper alternative, go for NYX lashes in #104, they are slightly shorter but give the exact same effect.

Hopefully you have found this helpful, I look forward to seeing photos of your recreations. Enjoy!
