Tutorial: Pop That Neutral Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

The classic neutral, everyday look is one that every makeup wearer has pulled off at one point or another, be it on a daily basis or just on occasion. This tutorial is a good way to create a slightly more dramatic look to this by simply adding a contrasting colour to your lower lash line.

Any makeup wearer should know their basic colour theory, all you have to do is look at a colour wheel (I have included a colour wheel below as a reference), and the best way to make your eyes really stand out is to use a contrasting colour. For me having green eyes, the contrasting colour is red. Now red isn't exactly a colour that can be easily found in an eye shadow. The reason for that is because the pigment used to create the red colour can create an allergic reaction with some people when it comes in contact with the eye area. For me that isn't a problem, but that being said DO NOT attempt to wear red makeup products on your lower lash line because your eyes will water like crazy!

EYES:
- Two Faced Shadow Insurance
- Painterly paint pot
- Tete-A-Tint eye shadow
- Texture eye shadow
- Swiss Chocolate eye shadow
- Vanilla eye shadow
- Shroom eye shadow
- Cherry lip liner
- Mi' Lady mineralize eye shadow duo (LE - this came out with the Antiquitese Collection a few years ago)
- Naked "Gold Duochrome" pigment (you could also use Rose Blanc eye shadow)
- Smolder eyeliner
- Blacktrack fluidline
- Carbon eye shadow
- Ardell "Demi Pixies" lashes

CHEEKS:
- Inglot #35 (neutral cantaloupe with silver shimmer) blush
- Inglot #57 (neutral pink-based brown with silver shimmer) blush

LIPS:
- Cherry lipliner
- Ruby Woo lipstick
- Sportsgirl "Talk of the Town" lipgloss

Here is a basic "Colour Wheel" so you have something to refer to when picking the eye shadow that would contrast your eye colour best

P.s - I'm really starting to love rocking the red lips! I hardly ever wear dark lips (as you can probably tell from most of my tutorials) but I really liked the way these turned out. I might have to do a tutorial on them separately. Let me know what you think :)
