EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey
This tutorial was recorded one day before I went out with my mother shopping so if it seems rushed, that's why.
I have always been inspired by the Arabic style of makeup. I love the sharp angles, heavy liner and bright colors used to create these unusual looks. I decided to record a tutorial that was inspired by a photo that I found on the internet one day in my searching. The look is shown below:
As you can see, the look consists of mostly variants of silvers and a pink on the lower lash line. I wanted to start out with something simple for my first Arabic inspired tutorial. The look uses double eyeliner which adds a little extra drama to the look. The following is my interpretation of the look:
EYES:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Sticky tape (to help create the Arabic cat-eye shape)
- NYX jumbo eye pencil in "Milk"
- Knight Divine eye shadow
- Silver Ring eye shadow
- Rondelle eye shadow (LE with the Gentle Fume quad from the Smoke Signals Collection in '07 - you could replace this will Silver Fog pigment or even Electra eye shadow)
- Gesso eye shadow
- Inglot #35 (shimmery white) eye shadow (you could use Crystal Avalanche eye shadow instead)
- Inglot #449 (raspberry pink with slight blue duochrome) eye shadow (you could use Romping eye shadow if you have it or just any bright pink will do)
- Swish eye shadow
- Blacktrack fluidline
- Prestige liquid liner in "Black"
- Smolder eyeliner
- Ardell "Babies" lashes
CHEEKS:
- Ingot #57 (cantaloupe with silver shimmer) blush
- Inglot Multicolour Highlight palette
LIPS:
- Midimauve lipstick
- Sportsgirl "Gossip Girl" lipgloss
As I said in the video I would recommend using a more dramatic set of lashes for this look rather than using the Ardell "Babies" which seemed to just fade into the look a little. I would recommend Ardell "Demi Luvies" which I use in another Arabic inspired look that I will post soon. These show up a lot better with this style of dramatic makeup.
Enjoy!
