Tutorial: Bright Pink and Purple with Green Look

EDIT: I am no longer making posts in this domain. Please follow me over to www.walkinmyeyeshadow.com to keep following my makeup journey

I thought I'd take a break from writing out tutorials I'm going to film to upload my latest tutorial and update the blog.

This look was requested my my friend, Christie. She asked me if I could create a look for her that was pink and purple which was really bright and out of the ordinary. I came up with the basic look for the lid but then decided to change it up for the lower lash line because, as I said, she wanted something out of the ordinary. I chose to use greens on the lower lash line because I know that green is Christie's favorite colour.

I also decided to use false lashes in the look because I hardly ever use them. I have recently gotten really into lashes. I always liked using them on other people because I love the way they can change a look and open up the eyes. I also only just found a way to put false lashes on myself because normally I struggle with them.

My collection of false lashes has gotten pretty huge since I've been using them on myself. I mostly used Ardell lashes because I like that they are human hair, there are so many different styles and some of them have an invisible band which makes it easier for them to blend into the natural lash line. I might do a blog post soon showing how different styles of lashes look on me, but it'll depend on if I'm having a good day with them or not.

Anyway, in this look I used mostly MAC but I have also included a few Inglot colours. I have come up with a few replacement suggestions below if you don't have some of the colours I used.

EYES:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Climate Blue eye shadow - this came out with the Cool Heat Collection and was then re-released in a trio with the Dame Edna Collection. If you dont have this you could use something like Atlantic Blue or Cobalt eye shadow, both are available from MAC Pro.
- Inglot #449 eye shadow - this is a raspberry/hot pink colour that reminds me of Romping eye shadow only its a little darker and doesn't have the blue tinge
- Inglot #491 eye shadow - this is a dark purple eye shadow with silver glitter. If you got Stylin' eye shadow in the Lucky Tom quad which came out with the Hello Kitty Collection you could use that, or Grape pigment would also work
- Vanilla eye shadow
- Eyepopping eye shadow - Bitter eye shadow is pretty much the same colour
- One Off eye shadow - you could use Humid eye shadow instead if you didn't get this from the Love That Look Collection
- Prestige liquid liner in "Black" - Blacktrack fluidline could also be used
- Smolder eyeliner
- Ardell "Demi Whispies" lashes

CHEEKS:
- Coastal Scents 10 blush palette

LIPS:
- Inglot #08 (warm light raspberry pink) lipstick
- Sportsgirl "Gossip Girl" lipgloss

I hope you guys like this look and will give me some feedback on it in the comments below.

Thanks again,
Nat
